Caroline Pignat

Irish-Canadian author and educator Caroline Pignat is the recipient of two Governor General's Award for Children's Literature (Greener Grass, 2009; The Gospel Truth, 2015). She explores complex themes through her character driven stories and her historical fiction is hailed by the Canadian Children's Book Centre as "historical fiction at its best!" Pignat immerses her readers in rich settings, drawing them close to her characters who embody resiliency, empathy, and hope.

A Religious Education Consultant with the OCSB, Pignat has also worked as a Lead Writer for the Growing in Faith series commissioned by the Bishops and used across Canada. She creates faith based resources for publishers like Zondervan, Novalis, RCL Benzinger, and Pearson, including her titles: All I Am (Zondervan 2022);  A Heart Like Hers (Novalis 2025); and A Love Like His (Novalis 2026).

In her latest novel, The Discovery of Finnegan Wilde (Thistledown Press August 2025) Pignat begins with a lost girl and a found book and weaves multiple voices and timelines in a rich adventure of discovery set in Ireland.
